Tunis - The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the monkeypox virus (Mpox) an international public health emergency on August 14,2024. for the second time in two years, following the outbreak of the epidemic from the Democratic Republic of the Congo to neighboring countries. قامت تونس وليبيا وهي من بين دول العبور الرئيسية للهجرة غير الشرعية إلى أوروبا بتعزيز المراقبة الصحية استجابة لإعلان منظمة الصحة العالمية عن حالة طوارئ عالمية بسبب مرض الجدري الناجم عن جدري القرود.
وأكدت وزارة الصحة التونسية عدم تسجيل أي حالة إصابة بالفيروس، مشيرة إلى أن الوضع تحت المراقبة المستمرة.
وينتقل الجدري عن طريق سوائل الجسم وقطرات الجهاز التنفسي والمواد الملوثة. فيما تشمل الأعراض الحمى والطفح الجلدي وتضخم الغدد الليمفاوية.
من جهته، أعلن المركز الوطني الليبي لمكافحة الأمراض أنه اتخذ “إجراءات عاجلة” لمكاتب المراقبة الصحية الدولية في كافة المنافذ البرية والبحرية والجوية، لرفع حالة الاستنفار والتأهب في حالة تفشي الوباء.
وأكد المركز الوطني الليبي لمكافحة الأمراض أنه لم يتم تسجيل أي حالة إصابة في ليبيا حتى الآن وأكد جاهزية كافة الإدارات للتصدي لهذا المرض واتخاذ كافة الإجراءات اللازمة لسلامة المواطنين والمقيمين كل حسب مهاراته في كافة أنحاء البلاد.
