منظمة الصحة العالمية تطلق خطة استراتيجية عالمية لمواجهة جدري القرود
Tunis - The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the monkeypox virus (Mpox) an international public health emergency on August 14,2024. for the second time in two years, following the outbreak of the epidemic from the Democratic Republic of the Congo to neighboring countries. أطلقت منظمة الصحة العالمية خطة عالمية استراتيجية للتأهب والاستجابة لوقف فاشيات انتقال جدري القرود من إنسان إلى آخر من خلال الجهود المنسقة على المستويات العالمية والإقليمية والوطنية.
وتخضع الخطة الحالية لمساهمات الدول الأعضاء وتغطي فترة الستة أشهر من سبتمبر 2024 إلى فبراير 2025، حيث توفر 135 مليون دولار لتمويل الاستجابة من منظمة الصحة العالمية والدول الأعضاء والشركاء بما في ذلك المراكز الأفريقية لمكافحة الأمراض والوقاية منها والمجتمعات والباحثين.
ومن المقرر إطلاق نداء قريباً لجمع الأموال من أجل الموارد التي تحتاجها منظمة الصحة العالمية لتنفيذ الخطة.
وتركز الخطة، المبنية على التوصيات المؤقتة والتوصيات الدائمة الصادرة عن المدير العام لمنظمة الصحة العالمية، على تنفيذ استراتيجيات المراقبة الشاملة والوقاية والاستعداد والاستجابة و تعزيز البحوث والوصول العادل إلى التدابير الطبية المضادة مثل الاختبارات التشخيصية واللقاحات بشأن تقليل انتقال العدوى من الحيوان إلى الإنسان و تمكين المجتمعات المحلية من المشاركة بنشاط في الوقاية من الأوبئة ومكافحتها.
