Medio Oriente, G7 “Soluzione diplomatica ancora possibile”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – A seguito dell’aggravarsi della crisi in Medio Oriente, il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, ha convocato d’urgenza e presieduto questo pomeriggio una conferenza telefonica dei leader del G7. “Nel corso della conversazione è stata reiterata la ferma condanna all’attacco iraniano contro Israele – si legge in una nota di Palazzo Chigi -. In uno scenario in costante evoluzione, è stato convenuto di lavorare congiuntamente per favorire una riduzione delle tensioni a livello regionale, a partire dall’applicazione della Risoluzione 2735 a Gaza e della Risoluzione 1701 per la stabilizzazione del confine israelo-libanese. Nell’esprimere forte preoccupazione per l’escalation di queste ultime ore, è stato ribadito che un conflitto su scala regionale non è nell’interesse di nessuno e che una soluzione diplomatica risulta ancora possibile. I leader hanno concordato di mantenersi in stretto contatto”.
