LA VALLETTA (MALTA) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – Il governo e il popolo maltese insieme alle organizzazioni non governative locali hanno ricevuto parole di elogio dal presidente della Turchia Tayyip Erdogan, a seguito dell’immediata assistenza fornita alla popolazione turca colpita dai due terremoti di magnitudo 7.8 e 7.5 due settimane fa.
Durante una telefonata con il presidente maltese George Vella, Erdogan ha osservato che la cooperazione mostrata da Malta ha rafforzato la resilienza della Turchia e toccato il cuore del popolo turco.
Il presidente di Malta George Vella ha espresso le sue condoglianze e la sua solidarietà.
Due gruppi di 32 membri ciascuno del Dipartimento della Protezione Civile erano in Turchia per aiutare a soccorrere le vittime del terremoto. Anche la Protezione Civile e l’arcidiocesi di Malta e Gozo hanno aperto le porte per le donarazioni di oggetti per le vittime dei terremoti.
